Summary: controversial but worthwhile
Comment: This book has received a considerable amount of scrutiny from Borneanists. The author is a poet and one has to wonder how her own style influenced her translations of Dayak verse. Overall, though, I think that the translations are useful for those who have some prior knowledge of the cultures represented.
